The undefeated is over. The Chiefs were surprisingly stopped by the Raiders and by beating them 40-32. They were also giving them their first loss of the season and Patrick Mahomes’ first loss to Las Vegas.
The Raiders’ streak against Mahomes at Arrowhead Stadium was negative, with seven consecutive games charge with defeat. With 2012 being their last victory. Still, a perfect Derek Carr ended with the champions.
The first half seemed to repeat history for Chiefs, who dominated the first and second quarters with a 10-point lead. But Carr’s masterful return guided the team with two touchdowns to tie the game at halftime.
In the fourth quarter, Josh Jacobs scored two more touchdowns. A seven-yard carry to break the tie and a two-yard carry to extend the already unattainable lead.
Carr recovered from an interception to complete 21 of 30 passes for 345 yards and three touchdowns. In addition to helping by the defence that forced three clearances and had an interception on Mahomes.
