The 8-Game is something like the supreme discipline in poker. No wonder that the superstar density in no other event of the WSOPE is as dense as here.
The WSOPE 8 Game debut at King’s Resort Rozvadov’s poker room brings together everything poker’s top names have to say. 56 all-rounders started the €2,500 event, plus 15 re-entries. But the 71 Total Entries were not enough to reach the guarantee of €250,000 in Bracelet Event #5, so the participants were able to enjoy an Overlay.
Big names remain on the track / Hellmuth, and Negreanu continues to participate
Although the field in the cross-discipline tournament is manageable, this does not prevent players like Chris Ferguson, Shaun Deeb, or Alex Livingston from falling behind. But Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Jeff Lisandro, Allen Kessler, and Kahle Burns are still extremely popular players in the race.
Jeff Madsen and Viktor Blom lead the race
No less popular is the top of the chip count. With 336,500 chips, the four-time WSOP bracelet owner Jeff Madsen is at the top, followed by the online phenomenon Viktor “Isildur1” Blom (302,000) and poker veteran Eli Elezra (252,000), who is also allowed to own 4 bracelets.
Natascha tribe best Germans / Kaiser, Pauli, Pidun, and Löser are still there too
Among the remaining 26 players, there are also 5 from the DACH region. Natascha Stamm is at the top of the chipcount and already caused a stir at this year’s WSOPC in King’s at the Seven Card Limit Stud (Ring Event #8) as fourth. Her chip stack amounts to 146,000 chips, which puts her in 10th place in the illustrious field. Also from Germany are Jochen Kaiser (110.500), Sebastian Pauli (104.500), Thomas Pidun (84.500), and Manig Löser (33.000).
The final day will start today at 3 pm. We can be curious to see how the big names will perform against each other and, above all, what the 5 German survivors will achieve in the end.
