The 21st Banco Casino Masters at Banco Casino Bratislava saw 124 entries at the start of the €170 event.
The traditional giant event, which is held at the Banco Casinos’ locations in Bratislava and Kosice (starting day 1B), once again attracted €100,000 players from Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Austria and Germany to the capital with its guaranteed prize money. And a Greek faction was also well represented. At the end of the day, Lajos Matyas, the most successful of the 13 survivors, was able to increase the 40,000 chip starting stack to 830,000 chips!
The Banco Casino Masters is now entering its 21st edition and is particularly impressive with its six-digit prize pools, the smooth handling, the already secure prize money on day 2 and also the live stream of the final table. The tournament structure, with a starting stack of 40,000 at 30-minute levels on day 1, which increases to 45 minutes on day 2 and 60 minutes in the final table, is easy to play. Also, the 6 starting days drive up the prize pool and also offer enough chances to be part of the tournament on the other days.
There are also 13 participants from the starting day 1A. To the play stop with only 10% of the remaining starters, Lajos Matyas (830,000), Martin Lisý (589,000) and Viktor Klas (573,000) bagged most chips. They are followed by the German Vincent Schröder, who can start on Sunday at 4 pm with 518,000 chips in day 2. The Greek faction of the Austrians also played hard, and with Dmitrios and Ioannis Nanos, two Hellenes with 192,000 and 142,000 chips respectively are among the 13 qualifiers.

Today double day 1B in Kosice and Bratislava
While day 1B in the Kosice branch has a long tradition, the parallel start day in Bratislava is not always included in the programme of the Banco Festivals. Today, however, the players are spoilt for choice – from 6 pm there will be a 1B start day both at the Banco Casino Kosice and at the headquarters, the Banco Casino Bratislava. Here too, the tournament will be stopped, and the chip count will be determined when only 10% of the participants are left.
