In the past week, our partner Black Lion has done a lot more than the everyday life of the eSport organization. In the League of Legends ESL Championship (ESLM) on matchday 8 the return of the ‘Remix’, which had been cancelled due to injury, was on the agenda. Also, the Fighting Games players were involved as participants and organizers of the MadGearFFM event.

ESLM: Black Lion – Austrian Force eSports
On the eighth matchday of the ESLM, the Black Lion League of Legends Lineup had to play against ‘Austrian Force eSports’. But it wasn’t the pairing itself that was the remarkable speciality, but the return of the newly operated player ‘Remix’. Although they trained during the week without the normally seeded AD Carry, they didn’t want to miss him in the game. So they took a tactical option that many probably wouldn’t have expected.
So Black Lion relied on the skills of ‘Remix’ on the champions in the ADC role but sent him to the toplane. On the botlane, the newly formed duo ‘Pandafox’ was found as a supporter and ‘Fynnek’ as a supplement on a tank. As Zilean/Rammus they wanted to upset Australian Force. Despite many fights and an intensive first duel, it should not be enough in game 1. The planned combination did not work, and the opponent closed the bag after a little over 28 minutes.
In-game number 2, the procedure was completely changed, and the player bets on so-called “comfort picks”. Everyone found himself on a champion again, who lies very well and pleases him. Furthermore ‘Fynnek’ rotated back to the toplane and left ‘Remix’ back to his ADC position. This step turned out to be extremely useful. An early First Blood, much more presence on the field and several kites paved the way to a 1:1 equalizer after 29 minutes.
On the coming ninth matchday, the opponent is called ‘DIVIZION’, who still have the chance to advance to the first division of the ESL Championship with a win. Nevertheless, Black Lion is determined to give it all in this match and to provide a surprise. The organization says that the games would be fought over in any case.
In the head, however, one is already much further in places. Andreas ‘PrinzKarneval’ Bernhardt, team manager of the League of Legends department, comments on further plans in the LoL area:
“We are already planning for the upcoming preseason of the Riot League. There we want to take off completely, play our way into the first league and take the trophy home with us. It won’t be easy, but with a strong team in the background as well as in the foreground, it should be possible.”
The good start of the Fighting Games Roster at Black Lion continues. Last week Arya ‘Sephiblack’ Gamoori, Jan ‘SinJul’ Openkowski as well as Cem ‘Ken_Deep’ Anar were involved in the MadGearFFM event. The focus was on the Tekken competition ‘Spehiblack’, while ‘Ken_Deep’ took care of the stream. SinJul’ tried to be both participant and organizer at the same time. He took care of hardware to be set up on-site such as cameras and microphones and also appeared briefly as a commentator.
But in the game, there was no way around ‘Sephiblack’. He won all five duels and won the tournament. All this, although he did not compete with his Main character ‘Miguel’, but with a Sub-Character. The victory gave him another 25 points for the Tekken World Tour.
